History of the Project

Explosive beginnings and a new hope

On June 14th @ 12:00am UTC history was made when a token developer decided to release a unique experiment in tokenomics on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The idea was simple yet clever: a total supply of only 1000 tokens, a 10% transaction tax (8% burnt, 2% to holders), and an initial liquidity of 0.1 BNB (~$30). The MicroMachines token ($MMAC) was received incredibly well by investors and swiftly rose from a starting price of $0.035 to $424 per token. Unfortunately, the burn rate and lack of liquidity reflections proved to be unsustainable, with minor trading affecting the price severely.

The developer didn't give up. He wanted the token to persist on the blockchain as he saw its community grow strong and band together. Thinking of how the token could survive, he reached out to another developer and two important updates to the project were made:

  1. The token would be relaunched with similar yet more sustainable tokenomics: in addition to the holder and burning reflections, there would also be a liquidity reflection to lessen price impact of trading.

  2. The idea of incorporating NFT gaming into the tokenomics system led to the creation of Micro Machines - Rise of the Warbots.

With the new developer on the team -- along with a very skilled team of artists and designers he brought in to help create the game -- the migration to a new contract was completed and embraced by the community.

Bridging from BSC to Matic

Although the main token ($MMAC) still lives on BSC, it was decided to move the game and NFTs over to the Polygon (Matic) network for cheaper fees and increased exposure (e.g. by having an NFT collection on opensea.io). Thus a bridge to Matic was made, and now the total supply of 1000 $MMAC tokens was spread over BSC and Matic, with opportunities for arbitrage to take place.

The future history

Now, a new token (NanoMachines, $NMAC) is about to be released to allow for more complex game tokenomics/mechanics and enough seed funding to hire more developers to accelerate the development of the Micro Machines - Rise of the Warbots game.
